My first Unity project. A 2D Action Adventure game inspired by Castlevania (1986) Take the role of Knightro, a young knight taking up the task to clear the dreaded Castle of Bones. Move from platform to platform, slay enemies that stand in your way, and push forward to see the rising sun for the first time.

I designed the tile mapping for a 2D action platformer, crafting the level layout to capture the classic feel of an older game with deliberate platform placement and enemy encounters that challenge the player’s movement and the timing of jumps. Additionally, I programmed the player animations to create a slightly weighted movement, staying true to the methodical pacing of classic platformers. To enhance immersion, I implemented scene transitions that shift between areas, maintaining the atmospheric tension and progression of the game as well as 8-Bit music to build on the aesthetic.
